Seventh Wave is a Toronto-based production company operating at the intersection of film, photography, and creative storytelling. Developed in collaboration with Subcultr, the brand identity was conceived to reflect a sense of movement, rhythm, and quiet confidence—drawing from the symbolic nature of the wave itself. The visual system embraces a restrained, editorial approach, pairing monochromatic imagery with layered materials and refined typography to create a brand language that feels cinematic, tactile, and contemporary.
Serving as a Junior Brand Designer on the project, my primary responsibility was the design of the wave symbol, a sculptural mark intended to embody motion and continuity. The form was developed as both a distinctive icon and a versatile graphic element that could live fluidly across brand applications. In addition to the symbol design, I collaborated closely with the team on the visual direction, contributing to the exploration of layout systems, composition, and the material sensibility that defines the identity.
The resulting brand language positions Seventh Wave with a quiet authority—minimal yet expressive, and rooted in the visual cadence of the production industry it represents.
